Having lived the better part of the past decade in China, Swedish musician Anders Chriss has returned to his native country to release his first full-length album. A 7 year musical journey has taken him to festivals, rock clubs, dance clubs and outdoor stages all over mainland China and to Taiwan.
It’s safe to say that Anders Chriss’ music is on the alternative side; but beyond that, pinpointing his style of music has proven to be a challenge. When asked to describe Anders Chriss’ music, a close friend and fellow musician landed on the following: “I’d think Industrial or perhaps Trip-Hop/Indie but with less teen angst – whilst some songs certainly have folk and pop-ish elements.”
Acclaim and many interesting attempts on defining Anders Chriss’ music have followed the May 2010 release of the album "Volatility":
"Beck gone Soundgarden lite hardrock with the cheerful bastards of Radiohead playing lounge music in the background".
- RockUnited
" 'Volatility' just about pulls off an unlikely balancing act and as a result the album offers contemporary crossover appeal".
- Get ready to ROCK!
"Often compelling, occasionally alienating, but never dull or predictable, Chriss’s curious clash of styles feels like the start of something new."
- Rave Magazine

The band The Roadkills, initiated as a creative outlet by Swedish singer and guitarist Anders Chriss, formed in Chengdu, China 2005, and is now releasing a remixed and remastered version of the EP "逆行[nì xíng]". The EP was originally released in 2006 leading up to several mini-tours that culminated in The Roadkills playing at the Springscream festival in Taiwan.
The remastered EP "逆行[nì xíng]" was released on 2011-11-14 as the start of a lead-up to the coming full album, and will be accompanied by a remastered version of the bands second EP “Come with me” which will be released early next year. Both EP’s were originally released to be part of the many tours and festivals that The Roadkills have played across China; like the nationwide "Skid Mark Tour", the "Forever young festival" and the "Electrax Party". The band has also opened for Beijing pop star Pu Shu in Chongqing and has been the subject of articles in music magazines such as Painkiller.
The Roadkills, now located in Sweden, essentially remains an outlet for the musical torrent originating from Anders Chriss’ attempts to interpret the world around him, and the band is known to have been mixing traditional live instruments with live electronics from time to time, all the while keeping both two feet on a solid foundation of alternative and heavy rock. Having been more of a live band than a recording band, The Roadkills are now delighted to start sharing their music internationally.
